Q. Where does the coaching take place?
A. We use city centre hotels across Scotland with specific cities chosen depending on demand.
Q. What does the coaching day involve?
A. On arrival you will get tea / coffee before being introduced to our coaches. They will run through the recruitment process discussing the Competency and Values Framework and the Assessment Centre. Exercises will allow you to practice and also see others demonstrate how to handle the Ice Breaker, two group exercises and interview. During the day you are provided lunch and there are tea / coffee breaks in the morning and afternoon. The day starts at 9am and concludes at 5pm.
Q. What do I need to bring?
A. Writing materials are provided. You need to bring energy, concentration, curiosity and a willingness to learn and a phone for photographing slides and flip charts is helpful.
Q. What is the cost?
A. The price for the coaching day is £250 inclusive of VAT. Payments can be made by bank transfer in advance.
Q. When should I attend the coaching?
A. Depending on a variety of factors the Police Scotland recruitment process can develop quickly and you may be invited to an Assessment Centre earlier than you may think. Once your application form has been approved you may have the Police Scotland Entrance Test within 2 weeks, and the Assessment Centre within another 2 - 4 week after that.
You should consider coaching as early as possible, even before pressing send on your application form, and benefit from the advice in regard to the Competency and Values Framework and Assessment Centre.
Q. What dates are the Coaching events held?
A. Dates will be announced in due course with September 2025 being the earliest date. Please email Paul@policerecruitingscotland.com for more information.
